Saving User Configuration

You can save a user configuration as a back-up or make it available for another main license server.

Prerequisites

In order to call the central user management on the main license server in the administration program and use its functions, you must be logged-in to the license server as an administrator or your user must have the Manage Users right (normally as a group member).

Context

You can save the user configuration directly in an XML file in the Administration Program.

The respective XSD file for this can be found under $INODIR/userconfig.xsd.

You can save the user configuration as a back-up before you edit it or make it available for another main license server.

How to proceed

  1. Select the Users>User Configuration>Export (Ctrl+E) command from the User Management tab.

    The Save standard dialog appears.

  2. Enter the name of the XML file and confirm withSave.

    The current user configuration is saved in the XML file.
