A state machine describes a system using states and transitions between these states.
The state machine is shown as a rectangle.
A state machine is created as contents of a term definition.
Each term definition can contain no more than one state machine.
Each state machine can contain multiple regions.
A state machine needs to have at least one region.
The first region is created as contents with the state machine.
The last region in the state machine cannot be deleted.
The owner of a state machine can only be changed if the states contained in the machine are not used by data elements.
