Determining Elements Used for the Mapping

Model elements that you have chosen are used for the mapping. Other model elements are also taken into consideration.

Prerequisites

You have started the Mapping editor with a mapping between the database schema and the conceptual model.An engineering action with the Extend tag is defined.

You have selected elements and the target model is set.

Context

You want to know which model elements should be taken into consideration for the mapping. This depends on your selection and the mapping rules.

How to proceed

Select Mapping>Map Model>Determine source elements.

The Calculated Source Elements dialog opens.
You can adopt model elements shown in the list in the result region or close the dialog.
