Splitting and Merging Sequence Flows

Use link events to split sequence flows.

Splitting a Sequence Flow with a Link Event

How to proceed

  1. Click with the right mouse button on the sequence flow between two elements.

  2. Select Split Flow.

    The sequence flow is split with a Link event. Renaming the Link event automatically renames the second respective Link event.

  3. Double-click on the Link event with the [Ctrl] key pressed to jump from a Link event in the diagram to the second respective event.

Merging a Sequence Flow by Deleting a Link Event

How to proceed

  1. Select one of the Link events.

  2. Select Delete from Model.

    The respective second Link event is also deleted.The sequence flow is relinked.
