Notations in Innovator for Business Analysts

For graphic notation, Innovator for Business Analysts primarily uses the Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) and Unified Modeling Language (UML) standards from the Object Management Group (OMG).

The standards are extended to include Innovator-specific diagram types and elements to

• Describe aspects which are not shown by BPMN diagrams or established UML diagrams
• Enable integration of various model approaches
• Support working in complex projects
