Displaying Resource Relationships

Organizational units, operating resources and other resources are required to run a process. You model these business resources and their relationships in the business resources diagram. Business resources can be used directly in the modeled processes.

A resource is a way of executing an activity or letting a process run. A business resource is understood as being all that is used in the company when executing a process or individual tasks.

A definition and a use of a resource are differentiated between in the model. A resource is only defined in one single place in a model. However, resources can be used more than once in diagrams.

Use the diagram editor for business resources diagrams when modeling resources. It is available in all Innovator for Business Analysts editions.
