Formatting Running Text

You can set out your running text however you want in your Word documents.

Prerequisites

You need to have installed Word 2007 or Word 2003 and have "Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack for file formats for Word, Excel and PowerPoint 2007".

Context

Create a Word document which should be used as a template for Word documents created by Innovator.

The running text in your Word documentation should be formatted in a certain way, e.g. with a Garamond font in 10 font size and justified.

How to proceed

  1. Create an empty document in Word or use an existing one that is already formatted to suit your needs. If you are using one that already exists, you need to delete all contents from the document (apart from any title page already created for the documentation) as the model documentation will be attached to existing contents.
  2. Open the Modify Format Template dialog for the Standard paragraph format.

The dialog of the same name appears.

  3. Enter the desired formatting options.
  4. Save the document as a Word 2007 document (<name>.docx).

You have created a documentation template which shows running text in the way you wish it to be shown.

  5. Enter the documentation template in a documentation command for Word documents.
