Assigning Documentation Building Blocks

Use a documentation building block in a documentation structure.

Prerequisites

All subchapters of the documentation building block can also be inserted at this point in the chapter hierarchy.

Context

Create a reference to a documentation building block.

How to proceed

  1. Jump to the Documentation Structures view in the configuration editor.
  2. Select the chapter which you want to assign the documentation building block to.

  3. Change the Chapter drop-down list to Documentation Building Block.

    The list of building blocks that can be inserted here are shown in the Not Assigned list on the right-hand side of the configuration editor.

  4. Select the documentation building block which you want to insert.

  5. Select Edit>Assign.

    A reference to the documentation building block is inserted in the documentation structure. The documentation building block is added to Assigned list.
