In order to have a model available in different development states, you can create versions of it. For this purpose, you can also export and import model fragments. Innovator makes use of Universally Unique Identifier (UUID) for identification and assignment within the model.
In order to be able to use the versioning function, the logged-in role needs to have the Versioning privilege.
The current state of the active model can be copied to an assigned file location and checked in to a separate version repository there.
To assign a location you require model administrator rights.
The location for the model versions is always within the repository directory (path $INOPRJ/ivr/).
You can check out a checked in model state. This will copy the selected model version to a temporary repository (path $INOPRJ/readonly/) and the associated server will start in read-only mode.
You can open a running model version or use it for a model comparison.
You can close a running model version. This will stop the associated server of the temporary repository and delete the temporary repository.
Prerequisites
To apply and modify a location for the model versions you require model administrator rights.
Context

How to proceed
To apply a location for model versions for the first time, click in the drop-down combo box Location for Model Versions.
A suggestion for a directory name for the associated version repository and model versions is created based on the model names.
