Annotations can be shown if e.g. they need to be visible during the review phase. Annotations can always be hidden so that a diagram does not become too muddled.
Prerequisites
Diagram is created and opened. Linked annotations exist for diagram elements.
Context
It is only possible to show or hide all annotations in a diagram at the same time. Connections between the model element and annotation can be shown or hidden individually for each annotation.
All annotations are automatically shown when a new annotation is created.
Annotations are shown in their own area in the document window to the right of the diagram. This area cannot be moved; it is, however, possible to adjust the width.
How to proceed
Select the toggle menu item Review>Annotations>Annotations to show or hide all annotations in a diagram. You can also click on the close button
in the Annotations area to hide the annotations.
The annotations area is shown or hidden. No annotations are initially selected when the annotations are shown.
Select the respective annotation to show the connections between an annotation and the annotated elements. Multiple selection is possible.
Connections to the annotated elements are shown for all annotations selected.
