Aligning Elements in the Diagram

You can arrange model elements so they are relative to each other.

Prerequisites

Diagram with multiple elements is opened and reserved for editing. Elements to be aligned are not in different processes or lanes.

Note:

Only the options which mean that elements won't be moved on top of each other can be selected when arranging elements in a diagram.

Context

Use the commands in the Design>Arrange>Align submenu for aligning the selected elements:

How to proceed

  1. Select the element which the other elements should be aligned with.
  2. Keep the [Ctrl] key pressed and select the elements to be aligned.
  3. Select the Design>Arrange>Align menu item and the type of alignment.

    The elements are aligned with the element first selected according to the type of alignment selected.
