You can arrange model elements so they are relative to each other.
Prerequisites
Diagram with multiple elements is opened and reserved for editing. Elements to be aligned are not in different processes or lanes.
Only the options which mean that elements won't be moved on top of each other can be selected when arranging elements in a diagram.
Context
Use the commands in the Design>Arrange>Align submenu for aligning the selected elements:
Align Left ([Ctrl]+[L])
Align the selected elements with the left edge of the element first selected.
Align Center ([Ctrl]+[I])
Align the selected elements with the vertical middle of the element first selected.
Align Right ([Ctrl]+[R])
Align the selected elements with the right edge of the element first selected.
Align Top ([Ctrl]+[T])
Align the selected elements with the top edge of the element first selected.
Horizontal ([Ctrl]+[H])
Align the selected elements with the horizontal middle of the element first selected.
Align Bottom ([Ctrl]+[B])
Align the selected elements with the bottom edge of the element first selected.
How to proceed
Select the Design>Arrange>Align menu item and the type of alignment.
The elements are aligned with the element first selected according to the type of alignment selected.
