Hardware and Software Basis

Innovator clients can be run on a PC with 2 GHz or more with Microsoft Windows XP, server 2003, server 2008, Vista, Windows 7. Installation of Microsoft’s .NET Framework 4 is another system prerequisite.

Windows Installer 3.0 or higher is required for Innovator installation.

Supported Platforms

Innovator runs with the following hardware/operating system configurations:

Server (Enterprise edition)
- PC with 3 GHz or more with Microsoft Windows (XP, Server 2003, Server 2008, Vista and Windows 7 with the respective current service pack).
- PC min. 3 GHz with SuSE Linux 10.3 or higher
- SUN SPARC Station Solaris 10 or above
- SUN x86 Solaris 10 or above
Client (all editions)
- PC with 2 GHz or more with Microsoft Windows (XP, Server 2003, Server 2008, Vista and Windows 7 with the respective current service pack).

Installation of Microsoft’s .NET Framework 4 is another system prerequisite.

Java SE6 is needed for executing engineering actions.

Hard Disk Space Requirements

Innovator requires a hard disk space of 3 GB.

Memory Requirements

Innovator requires at least 2 GB of available memory, but 4 GB is recommended.

Graphical User Interfaces

A resolution of at least 1600x1200 pixels is recommended for ease of use.
Motif, version 2 or higher, is used as the basis for the server program's graphical user interfaces under the operating systems UNIX and Linux.

Network Operation

The following software and protocols are required for operation in a network:

Microsoft Windows: TCP/IP
Linux/Solaris: All network operating systems with the appropriate TCP/IP implementation of the hardware manufacturer
