Setting Heading Numbering
You can design your headings however you want in your Word documents.
Prerequisites
Word 2007 (or higher).
Context
Create a Word document which should be used as a template for Word documents created by Innovator.
The headings in the first level in your Word documentation should be formatted in a certain way, e.g. with a Times font in 24 font size.
How to proceed
-
Create an empty document in Word or use an existing one that is already formatted to suit your needs. If you are using one that already exists, you need to delete all contents from the document (apart from any title pages already created for the documentation) as the model documentation will be attached to existing contents.
-
Open the Modify Format Template dialog for the "Heading 1" paragraph format.
The dialog of the same name appears.
-
Enter the formatting options you want.
-
To format the heading so that it is numbered, select the Numbering entry from the Format drop-down list and click on Select New Number Format. Choose the numbering style you want and close the dialog.
-
Save the document as a Word 2007 document (<name>.docx).
You have created a documentation template which shows the "Header 1" paragraph format in the way you wish it to be shown.
-
Enter the documentation template in a Word documentation command
