You can remove extra structure chapters from the documentation structure.
Context
If an extra structure chapter is resolved, this chapter is removed from the documentation structure and its subchapters are moved below the top-most chapter.
Any sorting which may be linked to the extra structuring chapter is canceled.
How to proceed

Select the additional structuring chapter you want to resolve in the Documentation Structures view in the configuration editor.

Select Edit>Structure>Resolve Level.
The extra structure chapter is removed. Its subchapters are moved to the top-most chapter of the deleted chapter.
