Working in the Model

You can edit a model and its elements in the Documents area (for diagrams, tables and specification texts) or in various tool windows which show certain aspects of the model or its elements. As this allows model elements to be shown in the GUI, it is possible to run certain functions in both the Documents area and the tool windows.

Innovator uses general functions which can be run in both the Documents area and in tool windows. These include:

• Creating elements
• Renaming elements
• Copy elements
• Selecting elements
• Creating and removing references
• Creating dependencies
• Describing elements
• Commenting on elements
• Deleting elements
